Maryville College: Gibson Hall

About This Project

The Gibson Hall is a four-story student residence housing nearly 150 students. The building is constructed using light-gauge, load-bearing stud walls supporting 6″ prestressed hollowcore floor planks. Lateral support consists of strategically placed Sure-Board® Panels (light-framed walls sheathed with steel) founded on continuous footings. The roof is constructed using a series of prefabricated wood trusses to form the gable and hipped roofs.
