The new Stokely Residence Hall on the east side of the University of Tennessee campus is home to more the 600 students. The residence hall boasts 9 stories with over 375,000 square-feet. The floor structure consists of 2-way post tensioned concrete slabs supported by concrete columns. Concrete shear walls are integrated into the stair and elevator towers and serve as the lateral system for the building. In addition to several varied suite options, the building houses open lounge spaces, a student laundry room, large-scale dining facility, POD grocery location, coffeehouse, and is adjacent to a new 1,020-space parking garage.
