About This Project

Two additions, which were completed in 1984 and 1987, each contain 110,000-square feet of ballroom and convention facility space. The convention space is contained on the first floor, which is a slab-on-grade area. The second floor has open ballroom areas and is a post-tensioned concrete slab with the roof framed by steel trusses to create open spaces and support the movable partitions, which are used to demise the large ballroom spaces into smaller meeting room areas. The second floor spans 30 feet by 30 feet with the roof trusses spanning 120 feet.
